The Map Collector magazine was founded by Ronald Vere Tooley in 1977. Over the next two decades it built a reputation as a highly respected resource on the history of cartography and collecting antique maps. Each issue contains a wealth of information written by the most respected researchers, collectors and dealers. These issues cover many topics including the discovery of Australia, cigarette card maps, pocket maps, atlas making techniques, and lots more. Nearly complete set with indexes, lacking only issue 13 and index for issues 61 through 74. The set weighs approximately 50 pounds - shipping cost in the U.S. varies between $35 and $65.
