Compiled and designed by Joseph Feher, Honolulu. This profusely illustrated reference work portrays Hawaii from the earliest Polynesian migrants to life in the islands in the 1960's. Filled with hundreds of images of engravings, early photographs, drawings and much more. Includes the rare Hawaiian produced map of North America (Amerika Akau) that was printed at Lahainaluna in 1837. Text by Edward Joesting (part one) and O. A. Bushnell (part two). Hardbound in gold buckram with ancient iconography on the cover, 504 pp., plus index.
