Some of the important maps include #6 Panama Rail Road, #7 Map and Profile of the Route for the Construction of a Ship Canal Between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, #9 Map of Part of the Isthmus of Darien and #14 Descripcion de la Provincia del Darein… This last map is a copy of a Spanish map prepared by Governor Don Andres de Ariza in 1781. The map covers the isthmus of Panama in detail and is accompanied by a report by Governor de Ariza. This map, which is hand colored, and the accompanying report were amended to this second edition. Complete. 8vo.
Text generally good, with minor toning and foxing. All maps good, some with minor binding tears, one with a large tear at the bottom margin.
