Charming miniature map of Japan based on Ortelius' seminal map from early Portuguese sources. Title is in block-style cartouche. It was engraved by the brothers Ambrose and Ferdinand Arsenius who had been assistants to Frans Hogenburg and co-engravers of Ortelius' folio Theatrum. Italian text on verso.
