This is a nice early map of Texas showing several early settlements including Dallas and Fredericksburg. Indian tribes, forts, and early county development are noted. The farthest west counties are Gillespie, Medina and Webb. A vast uninhabited region lays between the established counties and the Ilano Estacado.
Generally good with some foxing and finger soil, mostly confined to margins. Someone practiced their arithmetic on the verso in pencil. Original hand color.
