"[Lot of 2 - South Dakota Real Estate Promotion Maps]",

A pair of rare real estate promotional maps. The first, dated 1909, is a folding brochure with full map on the back and advertisement above. The map is overprinted in color to show the large area available for sale. Also above the map are marketing panels to convince the prospect that South Dakota is high in wheat production (4th in the nation in 1909). Another panel gives the total agricultural production by product with the bottom line being a "per capita new wealth" of $382. The verso gives additional information on natural resources, schools, weather, fruit, railroads, and more. Published by the Keiser Land Co., J.S. Keiser, Mgr., Highmore, S.D. Folds into 8.5 x 3.5" self wrappers. (21 x 15.8")
The second is dated 1907. Colored in outline, there is an ad at top for C.W. Lonnberg, Real Estate and Loans. Folds into printed wrappers, "For bargains in Lands in the Dakotas, Minnesota and Texas…". (14.8 x 10.5")

Sound paper with fine color and full margins. Both with the slightest hint of fold toning. The latter's cover is a little sunned on back, but fine on front.
