This is an exceptionally nice example that contains the Report of the Commissioner of the General Land Office, Report of the Commissioner of Pensions, and Report of the Commissioner of Indian Affairs. In the back are 8 large, folded state and territory maps by the General Land Office.
1) G Sketch of the Public Surveys in Michigan; 2) A Sketch of the Public Surveys in Wisconsin and Territory of Minnesota; 3) B Sketch of the Public Surveys in Iowa; 4) B Diagram of the State of Missouri (bound in upside-down); 5) Arkansas; 6) (II) Map of Louisiana; 7) A Plat Exhibiting the State of Surveys in the State of Florida with References; and 8) A Diagram of a Portion of Oregon Territory. The maps are in remarkable condition, much finer than normally found, and range in size from 16"x 22" to 22"x 24".
Covers clean and unfaded with only some minor wear at the top and bottom of the spine. Text pages are generally very good with some scattered toning or foxing. The maps are fine except for minor misfolding or an occasional short binding tear.
