The copper engraving depicts an orrery, which is a mechanical device that illustrates the relative positions and motions of the planets and moons in the solar system in a heliocentric model. Drawn by J. Farey, engraved by Lowry and published by Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme & Brown.
