Great map of the Northwestern Coast of Spain. It extends from the Asturias de Oviedo region and Aviles in the Northeast to Bayona and the Portuguese border on the south, centered on Santiago di Compostella. The detailed chart includes castles, walled cities, towns, rivers, mountains, and much more. The title cartouche features Neptune carrying a shell over his head. Further decorated by two cherubs holding a coat of arms with a drape-style cartouche containing a musical score, three sailing ships, a small sea monster, and two 16-point compass roses. Dutch text, and the title "Gallica" and page 10 on verso.
Fine impression on a full sheet of thick hand laid paper with wide margins. Apparent centerfold toning is backstrap show through.
