A great copper engraved map that shows the Loire Valley and locates Paris, Chartres, and Orleans. A spectacular title cartouche features two fire-breathing dragons pulling a chariot, plus a fancy coat of arms, a distance scale held aloft by two cherubs, and a ribbon-style banner with notes. North is oriented to upper right corner. Dutch text, block letter, engraved decoration, and title "Beausse" on verso. A very nice example with later coloring.
