This is a very handsome map of Europe embellished with many ships and sea monsters and three strapwork cartouches. The map extends to include Greenland, the Davis Strait and a bit of Americae Pars Estotilad. The mythical island of Frislandt is prominently shown including several place names.

References:

Condition: B

Lightly toned with original color. Some old damage along centerfold with an old repair on verso. There appears to be a bit of minor loss along bottom fold.

Estimate: $900 - $1,300
