Superb map of the region includes the Paraguay River basin and the Peru-Chilean coast with Lake Titicaca. The Rio de la Plata is boldly shown with many large islands in the broad river. Several cities and towns are located including Rio de Janeiro, San Paulo, Buenos Ayres, Medoca, Arica, Potosi and Cusco. The large decorative title cartouche incorporates the distance scales. The imprint cartouche is topped with an armillary sphere and a large compass rose is near the center of the chart. Dutch text on verso.
