There is excellent detail along the coast and inland to include the city. At lower left is a "View of the Town and Mission of Santa Barbara" as seen from the sea. This is the only Coast Survey work that includes Santa Barbara and is thus highly desirable. The town's layout is represented with blocks to indicate individual buildings, with a church in the center of town and the Mission located to the northwest.
