This colorful map features Nebraska with a long panhandle extending all the way to present-day Idaho. Names the Pony Express route and locates numerous Indian tribes, forts and trading posts. County development in Kansas and Nebraska is limited to the eastern edge, with no counties at all in Colorado. Denver City is located on the banks of Cherry Fork with Auraria shown directly south of the city. Names the North, Middle, and South Parks, as well as several forts and a few towns in Colorado. Map is enclosed in the first edition floral borders.
Fine impression and strong original color. A couple insignificant spots, close trimmed (1/4") top and bottom, else nearly fine.
