This nice French & Indian War period map portrays the English colonies from Pennsylvania through Maine with their early boundaries. It is fully engraved to include topographical features and several place names. The colonies are shown confined east of the Allegheny Mountains, with the Nations Iroquoise, Indian villages and several French forts located west of the mountains. It is decorated with a title cartouche in the flourishing French style.
