Lot contains a lovely set of steel engraved views from the British edition of this important publication that showcased the work of some of the best American artists of the period. This lot includes 1) "The Susquehanna (at Hunter's Gap)" by Granville Perkins, 2) "The Housatonic" by A.F. Bellows, 3) "On the Beverly Coast, Massachusetts" by J.F. Kensett, 4) "The Adirondack Woods" by J.M. Hart, 5) "Mouth of the Moodna, on the Hudson" by David Johnson, 6) "Indian Rock (Narragansett)" by William S. Haseltine, 7) "Delaware Water Gap" by Granville Perkins, and 8) "The Smoky Mountains (North Carolina)" by Homer Martin. A great set of steel engravings each measuring approximately as given.
