This map of the south part of the Caspian sea covers the Caucasus and Turkmenistan. A fine and strongly engraved view of the city of Baku (the former Tereki) is inset in a decorative cartouche at upper right. The sheet is further embellished in Homann's bold style with a large pictorial title cartouche, scales cartouche, compass rose and an array of ships in the sea.
Crisp, dark impression with full original colors. Close margins, as issued. Centerfold toning and a little light scattered toning.
