Bold plan shows the elaborate fortifications and the city of Lisle. The chart is oriented with northeast at top by a decorative compass rose. Engraved by Isaac Basire. Title in decorative cartouche is, "Lisle A strong and rich City in the Earldom of Flanders, taken by the Allies in 1708, and restor'd to the French King by the Treaty of Utrecht."
