Bird's-eye view of Selestat in Alsace. Rendered in the typical woodcut style with fields and livestock in the foreground and the town pictured with its walls and steeples. In the sky, a cherub riding a goose holds the coat of arms and title banner. Initials of the engraver, RMD, at lower right. German text below and on verso.
