"Western Territories of the United States", Sherman & Smith

Hand colored map of the west that extends to the "British America" border. With large and transitional territorial borders: Utah extends from California to Nebraska, Oregon encompasses all of the Northwest, extending to Nebraska. The huge Nebraska Territory extends from the Continental Divide at the Rockies to Minnesota at the Missouri River. New Mexico Territory is partially shown as it stretches between Texas and California with a large northward extension in today's Colorado that reaches South Park. Very early depiction of Salt Lake City which is also labeled Mormon Settlement. Very similar and perhaps after Olney's map.
