Volume III only [of 3] containing a fine collection of steel engraved plates of nineteenth century Palestine, Syria, Asia Minor and Turkey. The illustrations were drawn by William Bartlett and Thomas Allom, two of the most important illustrators of the period. Descriptions of the plates by John Carne, Esq. 100 pp. 2 maps (Asia Minor and Syria) and 46 views. Hardbound in embossed cloth, quarter leather with gilt titling on spine.
