Complete and nice example of this geography. Hardbound with pictorial paper covers, frontis, title page, text and maps, advertisements, 82 pp. Filled with maps of the states and other parts of the world in the text, and a few larger maps including the world in hemispheres, North America, the United States, and South America. With a great map of the west that is similar to the atlas version from the same period. Washington and Oregon territories extend to the Continental Divide, Utah and New Mexico are in their large configuration. A very large Indian Territory extends north to the large Missouri Territory that in turn continues to the Canadian border, and stretches between the Continental Divide and the oversized Minnesota Territory. All of the maps have very nice original full hand coloring. A previous owner had the binding restored with new end papers, in addition to the originals, signatures tightened, and new quarter cloth on spine. A very sound example.
Pictorial covers a little rubbed. Signatures tight and contents generally good to very good.
