Fine, decorative map surrounded in a delicately engraved border and further embellished with five vignettes. Extends to show all of today's Canada and Alaska, here called Russian America. In Canada, at least 23 provinces are delineated through hand coloring. The vignettes include a birds-eye view of Boston City, a Seal, whale fishing, Esquimaux, Polar Bears, and a nautical scene showing the ships Fury and Hecla. Vignettes and border uncolored, as issued.

Good impression with original outline coloring. Original margins with trim into credit at bottom, as issued. Toning and soil in margins. Short split at lower centerfold, closed on verso with archival tape.
