Attractive bird's-eye view of Melinde harbor in Mozambique showing the fortifications with numerous ships at anchor in the protected harbor. The map is finely engraved and decorated with a large compass rose, coat of arms and title cartouche with the title in both Latin and Dutch.
Tissue reinforced centerfold, filling several large worm tracks, which do not detract from the overall engraving.
