Pair of fine, detailed plans of the city of Douai. First focuses on the extensive fortifications of the city and the second depicts the fortifications and troop placements in the siege of Douai during the War of the Spanish Succession. This was one of Britain's few successes against the French in 1710. Engraved by James Basire.
Bit of faint offsetting, still very good.
