Two rarely seen, and beautifully rendered views of New Orleans. First shows the city from across the river with numerous sailing ships and one steam/sail ship getting underway. Many people in the foreground. Second is filled with figures in the foreground with wagons and horses and much cargo awaiting shipment and stately antebellum buildings in the background. Both published by Eigenthum D. Verleger.
Both are beautiful and crisp impressions with fine hand coloring and wide margins.
