An attractive title page from a history of the Netherlands with an allegorical representation of Asia with a lion at her feet flanked by a Roman soldier and Mercury, messenger of the gods and the god of roads and travel in Roman mythology. Drawn by G. de Laresse and engraved by I. van Munnichuysen.
