An attractive title page from a history of the Netherlands with an allegorical representation of Asia with a lion at her feet flanked by a Roman soldier and Mercury, messenger of the gods and the god of roads and travel in Roman mythology. Drawn by G. de Laresse and engraved by I. van Munnichuysen.

Scattered foxing in blank margins. Tear in bottom margin closed with archival tape.
