During the sixteenth century, Lisbon attained great wealth from the establishment of the Portuguese shipping empire to Africa, India and the Far East. This sheet contains two views of Lisbon; at top the whole city with the Roman and Moorish citadels on the hills in the background, and the Tower of Belem and the Geronimos Monastery at bottom. Latin text on verso.
