"[3 Sheets] Colton's Africa", Colton, Joseph Hutchins

Matching set of maps that together cover the entire continent. The North Western Sheet shows the caravan routes through the Sahara Desert and includes fine detail of the coastal regions with an inset of Liberia. The North Eastern Sheet shows detail only along the Nile River and the coasts with a large inset of the Delta of the Nile. The Southern Sheet is a very nice map with focus on Cape Colony, Natal, and the other colonies along the coastlines. The interior is still largely unmapped and marked with tribal names and a few landmarks.
