This is Delisle's important two-sheet map of the Russian Empire in Europe. The map depicts the area of the Barents Sea in the north to the Black Sea and Caspian Sea in the south. It provides great detail of the towns, roads, forests and topography. The map is decorated with a nice (uncolored) title cartouche featuring a sleigh, coat of arms, animals and a hunter. If joined the map would measure approximately 25.5 x 39".
Minor damp stains. Both maps backed with heavy linen.
