Great battle scene at Greifswald, then part of Swedish Pomerania. Evidence of the battle is conveyed through smoke, explosions and the ballistic paths of mortar and cannon shot into the walled city. The large decorative title cartouche is flanked with military flags. From Pufendorf's chronicle on The Northern Wars and military campaigns of Sweden's King Charles X.
