Early edition of this attractive map of the Mediterranean with the major focus being the Barbary coast of Africa. Good detail of the region with numerous place names. Includes portions of Morocco, Algeria, Libya and Egypt. Handsome title cartouche showing two Arab merchants at an oasis, uncolored as issued.

Wide margins and a large watermark of a rosary. A little light scattered foxing, else very good.
