Crisp copper engraved map that covers Syria, Israel, Turkey and Iraq. Extends to include much of the Black Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia and a little of Russia. Clearly shows Baghdad with good detail along the Tigris River. Filled with scores of place names. Decorative rococo-style cartouche, uncolored as issued. Four distance scales.
Nice impression on thick paper with wide margins. Lightly toned along centerfold, else very good.
