A rare map of Japan on the Blancus/Moreira type. The map's outline is derived from Ignacio Moreira's map, which in turn was based on Japanese cartography. In its southwestern/northeastern orientation, Japan is fairly well represented. The provinces and major cities are shown. Published by Johann David Zunner. Decorated with strapwork title and distance scale cartouches.

Very fine impression and coloring. Tiny worms holes professionally filled. Very light toning along centerfold, still very good.
