Extends from Venice north to the Italian Alps and east to Trieste and Istria. Good view of Venice floating on several islands. First state of this map that was published in the 1584 Latin edition. Embellished with a large sea monster, ships and a wind compass.

Condition: C

Surface soiling and toned along centerfold with some areas of paper weakening. Some small marginal tears with slightly trimmed margins leaving about 1/2". Paper is a bit brittle at edges.
