A detailed map of the strait between Jutland and Fyn showing the fortifications of Fredericia and town of Middelfart and the surrounding countryside. The narrow strait is filled with battling ships keyed to an explanatory cartouche describing the Swedish invasion of 1657. The map is richly embellished with a title cartouche and a bold decorative border.
