This classic from the Romantic period of travel books is richly illustrated by Thomas Allom with text by Rev. G.N. Wright. Volume III (of 4) only, 96 pp., with 32 steel engraved plates including the title page. 4to, publisher's presentation binding of red morocco-grained cloth elaborately paneled with a decorative gilt border with a centerpiece pictorial vignette stamped in gilt, spines lettered and tooled in gilt with decorations and small vignettes, edges gilt. Sold as a collection of plates.
Covers worn and frayed. First few leaves and plates moderately foxed with occasional minor foxing on the rest of the plates.
