A nice geography similar to Guthries System of Modern Geography. Missing frontispiece else complete with 15 maps, 12 city views and 2 plates from Cook's voyages (one different than called for in binding instructions). Includes "A Correct Map of North America" which is an unusual early map of the part of the United States. The other maps cover the continents and major regions of Europe; all engraved by Holborn. 693 pp. + index. Rebound in red buckram.

Covers rubbed and cracked at spine. Ex-libris with stamps of McCall Jr. High School Library, Winchester, MA on front endpaper. Contents damp stained throughout. Map of the World with 3" tear and a few others with short tears or marginal chipping.
