Pair of large maps covering the region from Scandinavia through Russia and Asia to the Bering Sea and part of the Aleutian Islands. The maps were compiled from the maps of the Imperial Academy at St. Petersburg with additional information from Capt. Cook's explorations in Kamchatka. Two title cartouches. The maps were joined contemporarily prior to being bound into the Laurie & Whittle atlas. Numerous distance scales, explanations, and notes.

Dark impression with original coloring on thick paper with good margins. A little offsetting, else very good.
