Finely engraved and beautiful map of Holland with two insets of the Dutch commercial empire. The first is of the northeast U.S. and includes a miniature view of New Amsterdam. The other is of the East Indies with a similar view of the Dutch trading capital of Batavia. Large cartouche with putti, sea maidens and Neptune. The title's reference to the Batavian Republic indicates this is a late edition. A visually appealing map that shows better than the condition suggests.
