Early and important work on Egypt and Nubia translated from German. Second Edition, corrected throughout, with an index and other additions. Hardbound in green cloth, gold embossed lettering on spines and blind embossed design on front covers. Two large octavo volumes: Vol. I, 52l pp., foldout map of "Africa florentibus Carthaginiensium Aegyptiorum et Aethiopum Rebus" (16.2 x 9.6") and "Aegyptus et Nubiae pars" (4.5 x 13.7"), plus two plans. Vol. II, 45l pp., plus an Index and a folded map "A Plan of Egyptian Thebes."
