Compete and fine atlas containing 29 copper engraved maps, all at least double-page, engraved by Blondeau. Five are larger folding maps. Includes two world maps, an armillary sphere, Europe, Asia, East Indies, North America, United States, South America, Africa, the major European nations and four maps of the ancient world. The map of the United States shows 15 states and the new territorial Gouvernment de Tennassee. Hard bound, marbled boards and quarter calf with raised spine with title in gold on a dark background. Green marbled endpapers. A lovely French edition of Guthrie's atlas.
