Early and unusual wooden jigsaw map of Africa. The interior of the continent is sparsely detailed with the notation Contree Inconnue in the unexplored southern interior. Verso is blank. A fabulous and early puzzle.

Condition: A

All pieces present, with original hand color and red piping around edges that is near perfect. Pieces faintly toned and a little surface soiling as is usual for a map of this type. No box.
