Very detailed and attractive chart of the island of Rugen in the Baltic Sea. Many place names are located on this very informative chart. Ornamented with a very decorative strapwork cartouche topped with a crest and lions, an elaborate compass rose and ships in the sea. Sides of map flanked with 30 named coats-of-arms. Dutch on verso. A beautiful example of Blaeu's work.
