Large double hemisphere world map surrounded by four polar spheres, each in a different projection. Two interesting diagrams depict the earth, as it would be seen from space. North America is still blank above California and Hudson Bay is open-ended in the northwest corner. Two very large, decorative cartouches contain the titles, one in Latin and the other French.
Professional repairs of two tears on each side of the bottom centerfold, one extending about 2" into map. Couple of short tears repaired in top margin.
