Humboldt and botanist Aimé Bonpland traveled for five years from Venezuela to Peru. Upon returning they published the first detailed and magnificently illustrated account of the natural history of South and Central America in a monumental 34-volume series. Includes: Passiflora glauea; Jacaranda acutifolia; Cinchona scrobiculata; Bambusa latifolia; Saccellium lanceolatum; and Mutisia grandiflora. From one or more of a series of Botanical Atlases by Humboldt & Bonpland. Each on a folio sheet (13 x 20.5") with wide margins.
