Beautifully engraved map based on Blaeu's map of the region showing the mountains, forests and rivers. Little detail outside of the coastlines. Superb title cartouche surrounded by Neptune, explorers and maidens and the distance scale cartouche surrounded by natives and animals. The sea is embellished with a compass rose, rhumb lines and ships.
