Fine decorative chart displaying (1) the motions of both the upright sphere (the equatorial co-ordinate system) and the oblique sphere (the ecliptic co-ordinate system); (2) the celestial and terrestrial longitudes; and (3) the influences of the stars. Dramatic engravings of clouds, putti, figures, title banners and two smaller spheres surround the central diagram.
Some oxidation of original color resulting in minor beaks in paper. Now professionally backed with Japanese tissue to strengthen the paper. Gold highlights, perhaps added after the original color.
