A remarkably detailed chart from surveys by Lt. Carpenter of H.M.S. Sparrowhawk in 1880. Locates shoals, rocks, cays, bottom, soundings, etc. Includes the south central portion of Jamaica around Portland Point. Four insets detail Portland Rock, Banner Reef, Middle and Southwest Cays, and Northeast Cay. Three roses show magnetic variation.
